Peeling Back the Wallpaper -Wallpaper can be a great way to add some color, design and texture to your home. Wallpaper is rich in history and has come quite a long way over the centuries.

The Golden Age -With over 400 MILLION rolls of wallpaper sold, the 1920s are considered the Golden Age for this home décor.

They Said It Couldn’t Be Done -The Guinness World Record for the fastest time to hang 172.2 sq. ft. of wallpaper is 6 minutes and 38 seconds. Now if only someone could find a fast way to take it down.

As Old as Time - Wallpaper first dates back to 200 B.C. in China.

Expensive Tastes -The most expensive wallpaper is entitled “Les Guerres D’Independence.” At $44,091 for a set of 32 panels, you better not change your mind! *Panels cannot be sold separately*

An Official “Rolling” - In 1778, Louis XVI declared the standard length of a wallpaper roll would be around 34 feet long.

Deadly Design -During the Victorian Era, “Scheele’s Green” was one of the most popular wallpaper colors. Unfortunately, the beautiful color everyone loved was created with arsenic, leading to many deaths.

Paperhangers -Now known as the Wallcovering Installers Association, the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers began in the United States in 1974.
