The Greek Yogurt Mask

written by Anna Peterson

 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tbsp. Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. turmeric

INSTRUCTIONS

This one’s super easy. All you have to do is stir together the ingredients until they’re well combined.

 APPLICATION

Apply a thick layer to your skin and let it sit on there for around 20 minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water.

BENEFITS

I know what you’re thinking—dairy on the skin is just asking for a major breakout. But with Greek yogurt, it’s actually the opposite when applied directly to the skin. The probiotic properties in the yogurt help to balance bacteria and act as a natural treatment for acne-prone skin. It even contains lactic acid, which will gently exfoliate your skin and unclog pores.

Honey is a natural antibacterial ingredient, helping to prevent breakouts without over-drying your skin. And turmeric has a ton of benefits for your skin. It’s known to be a powerful anti-inflammatory that will help to reduce redness and irritation.
